Goodness. I just don’t even know where to start with this session. This past month I had the incredible opportunity to dip my toes in as a destination wedding photographer and shoot a wedding in Lisbon, Portugal (photos from that to come!!) and afterwards spend a few days in Barcelona. I’m hoping and praying that in the next year or so I can move more towards a destination and travel wedding-focused brand, so I was looking to do a few sessions in Barcelona as well. While there I was able to bless Kaylea and Ryan, missionaries in the area, with an engagement session in the city where they met and fell in love. It was so awesome because when I contacted them to ask if they wanted to do photos while I was in the area their response was “Wow, we literally just prayed about getting awesome engagement photos done yesterday!!” It was incredible to be part of that answer to prayer and build my portfolio as a destination wedding photographer at the same time 🙂
We did their session at sunset at Playa del Forum on the Mediterranean Coast in Barcelona, Spain. I swear the light is just better on the Iberian Peninsula; we seriously had some of the best golden hours I’ve ever seen on this trip, and the night we took these photos was no exception. The light was perfect, the location was to die for, and the love evident between Kaylea and Ryan was joyful and beautiful. But I’ll stop talking now and just let you see for yourself.
